Also, if possible, sign up for support forums, blogs, or email notifications. Keep track of your purchase date and any amenities tied to that date for the initial year of your purchase. Keeping informed is the best route for updates, upgrades, & deals.
Forums along with manufacturer support websites are best to report any problems. Chances are if you’re having an issue then someone else may be having the very same issue and will also join in with supporting comments of +1 your submission. Keep in mind that manufacturers are not able to test their wares against every single scenario possible. You just may very well have a setup that has not been tested and produced a very specific issue.
So, in response of your hardware & software needs:
- Go to a store to see your item of interest, ask questions of staff, & take pictures of the item.
- Seeing the size of the item (i.e., TV, Computer, Monitor, or Printer) will help you determine if you have the available space at home.
- Do your online research while shopping smart for the best price.
- Keep track of everything pertaining to your purchase (Emails, Invoices, & Receipts).
- Register with the manufacturer for warranty & support purposes.
- Sign up for emails with the manufacturer, join support forums, & follow via social media accounts for the manufacturer.
